On Tuesday, February 17, in Geneva, Switzerland, began the next round of trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, the United States and Russia. Security and humanitarian issues are on the agenda.
This was announced by Secretary of the NSDC Rustem Umerov, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
“We thank the American side for their involvement and consistent work in the negotiation process. We are grateful to Switzerland for organizing and providing conditions for holding meetings.
We have a framework of work agreed upon by the President of Ukraine and a clear mandate. Security and humanitarian issues are on the agenda.
We work constructively, focused and without unnecessary expectations. Our task is to advance as much as possible those solutions that can bring sustainable peace closer,” he said.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he accepted the U.S. offer to hold another round of talks next week to end the war with Russia.
- On Saturday, January 24, the second round of negotiations of representatives of Ukraine, the USA and Russia took place in Abu Dhabi.
- On February 4 and 5, the following trilateral meetings were held in Abu Dhabi as part of peace negotiations.
- On February 17-18, a new round of negotiations will be held in Geneva with the participation of Ukraine, Russia and the United States. Medinsky will leave Russia again.
