The State Property Fund of Ukraine held eight successful privatization auctions from February 16 to 20, raising UAH 395.8 million for the budget. The Fund’s press service announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform. PromPolitInform reports.
“Last week, the State Property Fund team held eight privatization auctions through the Prozorro.Sale system. The total amount of winning bids was UAH 395.84 million. A total of 27 participants competed in the auctions. Competition at the auctions contributed to a ninefold increase in price,” the statement reads.
The most expensive property last week was the sole property complex of the Orion Research Institute in Kyiv, whose price increased from a starting price of UAH 42.5 million to a final price of UAH 381 million.
The privatization auction for the state-owned enterprise Ukrtsvetprom in Dnipro raised UAH 13 million; the starting price for the property increased 619-fold.
This week, the State Property Fund team plans to hold 29 online privatization auctions, including the state-owned enterprise Niginsky Quarry, a complex of buildings and structures with a total area of 1,000 square meters in the Kirovohrad region.
As reported, the State Property Fund sold the state-owned enterprise Orion Research Institute at a privatization auction for UAH 381 million; the winner must pay an additional UAH 76.2 million in value-added tax.
