The Kremlin plans in 2026 to recruit 409 thousand more contractors and bring its group in Ukraine to 800 thousand.
This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
Despite significant losses in people and equipment, Russia does not stop the offensive.
“Therefore, we have no choice but to continue the battle and destroy the enemy,” Sirsky said.
He also informed his Dutch colleague that now the Armed Forces of Ukraine is most needed. First of all – air defense and missile weapons of various types.

According to Syrsky, now more than 700 thousand Russian military are involved against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian dictator Putin also called these figures.
Recently, the size of the aggressor’s army has fluctuated at the same level – 710-711 thousand – and this despite the fact that mobilization plans are fulfilled by more than 100%.
The reason is simple: losses exceed replenishment. In 2025, Russia attracted about 406 thousand people, but lost about 419 thousand – so there was no real increase in the group
