Today, March 3, Ukraine received the first tranche from the International Monetary Fund under a new four-year program under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), according to Business UA, as reported by PromPolitInform.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced that $1.5 billion has already been allocated and will be used to finance priority budget expenditures and maintain macro-financial stability. The total program amount is $8.1 billion.
Svyrydenko noted that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has attracted $14.9 billion in financial support from the IMF to the state budget.
