On the night of March 17, 2026, the enemy attacked 178 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas type and other types of drones, about 110 of them were “shaheds.”
This was reported by the press center of the Air Force Command, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
As noted, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, EW units and unmanned systems, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
How did our air defense work?
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, 154 enemy UAVs were shot down/suppressed by air defense.
A hit of 22 shock UAVs at 12 locations was recorded, as well as a fall of downed (debris) at two locations.
“The attack continues, in the airspace of several enemy UAVs. Follow the safety rules!,” – emphasize the Air Force.
Russian strike on the night of March 17
On the night of March 17, Russian troops attacked a number of northern and southern regions of Ukraine.
So, the enemy attacked the Sumy region, Zaporozhye was also under fire. The enemy hit near one of the terminals of the logistics operator. At the time of the attack, there were 7 employees at work. Four received concussions, three more – cuts of the head and body.
In addition, the Russians attacked Odesa region. As a result of night shelling, facilities of energy, industrial and port infrastructure were damaged.
The territories of enterprises and part of the equipment were also affected. Fires arose on the ground, which were quickly eliminated by rescuers. Fortunately, it passed without dead and injured.
