Norway to provide Ukraine with $200 million in budget support through the PEACE project — Svyridenko

Norway will provide Ukraine with $200 million in budget support within the framework of the PEACE project. This was reported by First Business, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko, emphasizing that the funding will help the government to stably fulfill key social and humanitarian obligations. The PromPolitInform portal reports.

According to her, the funds will be directed to support the state budget, in particular, to programs that provide basic services for citizens during the war. The PEACE mechanism allows partners to promptly provide Ukraine with the resources necessary for the stability of the economy and the functioning of state institutions.

Svyridenko noted that Norway remains one of Ukraine’s most reliable partners, and the new tranche is part of long-term financial assistance aimed at supporting macroeconomic stability.

Recall that the government expects that cooperation within the framework of the PEACE will continue, providing Ukraine with the expected funding in the conditions of the ongoing war.
