The United States produces about 800 Patriot missiles per year. In the first days in the Middle East, 803 missiles were spent – Zelensky.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that because of the war in the Middle East, there may be a shortage of missiles to Patriot systems, which is a problem for Ukraine.
The head of state said this in an interview with the BBC, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
“For Putin, the ongoing war in Iran is a plus. In addition to energy prices, this means the depletion of US reserves and the depletion of air defense manufacturers,” he explained.
According to Zelensky, the shortage of missiles to Patriot will definitely be, and this will be a challenge. The question is “when all the reserves in the Middle East will be exhausted.”
“America produces 60-65 missiles a month. Imagine 65 rockets a month – that’s about 700-800 rockets a year, produced every year. And in the first days of the war in the Middle East, 803 missiles were used,” he added.
- Earlier, Zelensky said that three professional Ukrainian teams went to the Middle East. They will work in different countries of the region in the fight against Iranian drones. In exchange for this assistance, Kyiv expects to receive missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
