Ukrainian intelligence officers continue to sweep in the Zaporizhzhya direction and capture Russian invaders.
This was reported by Telegram of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
The Chimera unit as part of the Timur Special Forces of the DIU conducted a successful sweep of one of the settlements in the Zaporizhzhya direction.
According to the GUR, separate groups of enemy infantry were entrenched in residential buildings: by skillful methodical actions, scouts knocked out the invaders from shelters.
Special forces conducted a thorough sweep of the premises, destroyed the enemy infantry in close combat and captured those who were lucky enough to survive.
The prisoners replenished the exchange fund. Subsequently, they will be exchanged for Ukrainian defenders.
Successful GUR operations
Recall, yesterday, March 18, the “Ghosts” of the GUR hit the latest radar station “Valdai” of the Russian army in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Also, Ukrainian intelligence on the night of March 13-14 disabled two Russian military vessels that ensured the delivery of weapons and equipment through the Kerch Strait.
Earlier, units of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, in cooperation with the Defense Forces of Ukraine, stopped the enemy’s offensive on Zaporozhye in their area of responsibility.
In the course of active operations, the DIU special forces eliminated more than 300 invaders killed and wounded, another 39 Russian servicemen were captured.
