The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has published detailed 3D models and a list of foreign components of the Russian Lancet and Scalpel barrage munitions. This was reported in the press service of the department, the study of the remnants of the UAV confirmed that the enemy is actively modernizing these weapons, introducing elements of artificial intelligence for autonomous targeting, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
It is reported that for the work of AI, Russians use foreign-made technological solutions, in particular NVIDIA Jetson modules. In total, the intelligence officers identified 62 electronic components of foreign origin: most of the parts are made by companies from the USA, Switzerland and China.
Despite the sanctions, Russia retains access to critical technologies and continues to improve its own weapons. Even such technological products as modules for solutions based on artificial intelligence remain available for it, “the DIU emphasized.
The DIU notes that the Lancet (product-51) and its “younger brother” Scalpel are given by operators in real time, but the use of AI modules allows the enemy to automate the attack process at the final stage. Full information about manufacturing enterprises and logistics chains for the supply of components has already been published on the War&Sanctions portal to further strengthen the sanction pressure.
