Within a few hours, the SBU and the National Police of Ukraine detained a man who committed a “double” terrorist attack in Bucha on March 23 this year.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
According to the case file, at 5:35 on the special line 112 a message was received about an explosion on one of the streets of the district center.
Upon arrival at the scene of the emergency services, another explosion occurred.
Employees of the SBU and the National Police in hot pursuit detained the perpetrator of the attack.
It turned out to be a 21-year-old local resident. According to preliminary information, he was recruited by Russian special services via the Internet.
He received instructions from the racists for the manufacture of two improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
For remote activation, each of the bombs was equipped with a mobile phone.
Then the man laid explosives at the site of the planned terrorist attack: one IED hid under a bench at the entrance to the entrance to the apartment building, the other – near the dumpster.
“Within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act), urgent investigative and operational measures continue to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice,” the report said.
The National Police of Ukraine reported that as a result of an explosion wave in the house, the windows and facade were damaged.
Law enforcers acted in accordance with the algorithm of response to terrorist threats: the territory was fenced, the scene was protected and residents were informed about the possible danger of a second explosion.

The Security Service of Ukraine calls on citizens to be vigilant.
“If you are approached with dubious offers, you saw suspicious objects and persons or received information about the activities of Russian special services, pages on the Internet and social networks that they use for recruitment, report this to the SBU,” the SBU said.
