Ukraine is already producing its own long-range weapons, which are more effective than the limited number of TAURUS missiles that Germany could transfer. This, UA.NEWS informs, was stated by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz during a speech in the Bundestag. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
According to him, Ukraine is creating some of this weapons with the support of Germany, and now it is “better armed than ever before.”
Merz stressed that the key problem today is not a lack of weapons, but financing. According to him, it is necessary to provide resources to continue weapons production.
The Chancellor also commented on Hungary’s blocking of an EU loan for Ukraine worth 90 billion euros. He called the situation unprecedented, emphasizing that the European Union cannot act effectively when one country systematically imposes a veto.
