The Ukrainian government has announced that a significant amount of funding has already been allocated to protect critical infrastructure, including the construction of shelters for energy facilities, strengthening the protection of water and heat supply systems, and the modernization of engineering structures in the transport sector. This is reported by Pershyi Biznesovyi, the PromPolitInform portal reports.
According to government officials, these funds have allowed the implementation of hundreds of projects aimed at increasing the resilience of the energy sector and utility networks to the threat of massive attacks. Part of the funding went to create additional protective structures for substations and transformers, the rest to strengthen infrastructure in the regions most affected by shelling.
The government emphasizes that these investments are only the first stage of a large-scale program that should ensure the continuity of basic services even in the event of repeated strikes on the energy system, as well as create reserve capabilities for the rapid restoration of damaged facilities.
We remind you that the authorities emphasize that further funding is already planned and will be directed to expanding the network of protective structures and modernizing critical infrastructure elements throughout the country.
