The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a package of draft laws that provide for a significant update of the tax system and a change in approaches to taxation for Ukrainians. The government says that the reform should become one of the key elements of financial stabilization and preparing the economy for post-war recovery. This is reported by “Pershy Biznesovy“, the PromPolitInform portal reports.
According to the government, the new draft laws cover several areas: reviewing the rates of certain taxes, updating the rules for the self-employed and those who work through digital platforms, as well as strengthening control over the import of goods. Some of the changes will apply to individuals – in particular, it is planned to modernize approaches to income taxation and clarify declaration mechanisms.
A separate block of the reform is aimed at combating tax evasion and expanding the tax base. Government officials emphasize that the new rules should make the system more transparent, reduce pressure on legal business and at the same time increase budget revenues.
We remind you that the documents will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada in the near future. After that, a public discussion and possible finalization of individual provisions are expected.
