The idea of appointing Mandzia was made by Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko, said Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
The government has appointed Orest Mandzia as the head of the State Customs Service. The corresponding submission based on the results of the open competition was made by the Minister of Finance Sergey Marchenko,” Sviridenko noted.
According to her, the Cabinet expects the new leader to continue the reform of the customs service, the formation of a modern, transparent and effective customs system that works to ensure the financial stability of the state.
“We look forward to consistent work on the implementation of these changes and further strengthening the institutional capacity of the customs service,” the Prime Minister added.
Recall that before being appointed head of customs, Orest Mandziy was the head of one of the units of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
During 2001-2017, he worked in various positions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in particular in the Lychakiv and Frankivsk district departments in Lviv, the regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Lviv region and Rivne region, the Department for Countering Drug Crime of the National Police of Ukraine, etc.
