Documentation of Russia’s war crimes continues
As part of the investigation into the missile strike by the aggressor state Russia on the “Faktor-Druk” printing complex in Kharkiv, which on May 23, 2024 killed seven civilians and injured nine others, those responsible for the war crime have been identified and officially notified of suspicion.
This was reported by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, according to the Prompolitinform portal.
Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence helped identify the Russian war criminals. The investigation was conducted by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine in cooperation with the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
The following individuals are directly involved in the missile strike on the “Faktor-Druk” enterprise:
Colonel General Alexey Kim — made the decision to carry out the strike;
Colonel Sergey Monetov — collected intelligence data and initiated the inclusion of the civilian facility on the target list;
Vice Admiral Alexander Peshkov — was responsible for planning the strike;
Lieutenant General Andrey Tsyganov — gave the direct order to launch missiles at the civilian enterprise.

The suspects have been notified in absentia under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of the laws and customs of war resulting in loss of life.
The investigation also established that the strike using three 5V55 missiles from the S-300 system on May 23, 2024 was carried out by servicemen of Special Tactical Missile Group No. 3, formed on the basis of the 568th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the 76th Air Defense Division of the 14th Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Central Military District of the Russian Armed Forces.
Comprehensive measures are ongoing to bring the war criminals to justice.
Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence reminds that every war crime committed against the Ukrainian people will be met with just retribution.
