Sirsky suspended the head of the Odessa CCC: new details of the scandal
The Ground Forces did not limit themselves to ordinary statements.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky suspended the head of the Odessa CCC after a scandal with shooting and extortion of a bribe.
This is stated in the statement of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in social networks, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
Sirsky reacted to the high-profile detention of eight employees of the Odessa CCC, who are suspected of extorting $50,000, and removed the heads of two institutions at once.
From the performance of official duties suspended:
Head of the Odessa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support;
Head of the Peresypsky District CCC.
In addition, the head of the Main Directorate of the Military Law Enforcement Service was instructed to conduct a separate official investigation.
What’s happening now
An official investigation has already been launched in the Armed Forces – it was initiated after the SBU Internal Security Department detained servicemen of the Peresypsky CCC alert groups.
“Any violations of the law, abuse of power or illegal actions are unacceptable and must receive an appropriate legal assessment,” the statement of the Ground Forces said.
Law enforcement officers are promised full support during inspections and investigations.
As previously reported, on April 21, the SBU detained eight representatives of the Peresypsky CCC and one district policeman. According to sources, the defendants in the case demanded 50 thousand dollars.
