The SBU conducted a special operation to detain, the CCC declares cooperation with the investigation and urges not to draw premature conclusions.
In Odessa, law enforcement officers detained eight servicemen of one of the district CCC and a district policeman after a special operation with harassment and shots.
This is reported by local media, in particular Dumskaya, citing sources in law enforcement agencies, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
It’s about the representatives of the Peresypsky CCC, who are suspected of extorting money from men. The amounts that appear in the case range from 30 to 50 thousand dollars.
The victim turned to law enforcement
According to local media, one of the victims himself appealed to the SBU before the transfer of funds. After that, law enforcement officers conducted a special operation, during which there was a detention.
According to preliminary information, the defendants could use force and threats, in particular, forcibly detain people and demand money. It is reported that during the searches they found cash and items that could be used for pressure, for example, baseball bats.
There is also evidence that this is not the first such case, and the suspects could act systematically.
Law enforcement sources told the Duma that in addition to employees of the Peresypsky RTCC on April 21, Major B., who is a precinct of the Peresypsky district police department, was also detained in the afternoon.
