Frosts are coming to Ukraine. Level 2 of danger is forecast

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, from April 25 to 27, atmospheric fronts will bring new portions of cold air to Ukraine. Because of this, the weather will be changeable, and in most regions – frosts. This is reported by BBC news Ukraine, according to the PromPolitInform portal.

“A gusty wind from the southwest will change direction to the northwest and will intensify the feeling of cold,” forecasters report.

In general, the temperature forecast for Ukraine for the weekend is approximately +11 to +16°C.

However, as the Hydrometeorological Center notes, the wind will be noticeable: up to 7-12 m/s, and in the west of the country strong gusts of up to 15-20 m/s are possible during the day. Because of this, the air may feel colder.

The weather will be changeable, but without serious precipitation, forecasters say.

Instead, the nights, as the hydrometeorological center warns, will be cold: from +1 to +7°C.

In most regions of Ukraine, frosts should be expected:

on the night of April 25 and 27 – frosts of 0-5°C on the soil surface almost throughout the country;

April 25 – frosts of 0-3°C and in the air are possible in the east and northeast;

April 27 – frosts of 0-3°C in the air are also likely in the western and northern regions.

The Kyiv OVA also warns of dangerous meteorological phenomena: frosts of 0-5° on the soil surface are expected in the Kyiv region on the night of April 25.

Similar temperatures are also expected in Chernihiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, as well as in Crimea.

In contrast, in eastern Ukraine – in Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions – meteorologists predict frosts of 0-3°C in the air on April 25.

In connection with the warning in the relevant regions, the Ukrhydrometeorological Center announced the II level of danger, orange – it is announced when the air temperature drops to 0-3° below zero. A decrease in the temperature on the soil surface to 0-5°C, according to the same scale, is the I level of danger, yellow.

Meteorologists warn that frosts can damage early fruit trees. This can lead to the loss of part of the crop.

Earlier, due to the bad weather, Ukrainian energy experts called for economical consumption of electricity.

On the one hand, gusts of wind make it difficult to repair damaged infrastructure, on the other hand, cloudiness reduces the efficiency of solar power plants.
