The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 602 dated May 13 establishing the amounts of one-time financial payments for Ukraine’s Independence Day in 2026, as предусмотрено by the Laws of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of Their Social Protection” and “On Victims of Nazi Persecution,” according to the Prompolitinform portal.
The Government has established that the one-time Independence Day payment will be made in the following amounts:
For persons with disabilities resulting from war and former juvenile prisoners (who were under 14 years old at the time of imprisonment) of concentration camps and ghettos who were recognized as persons with disabilities due to general illness, workplace injury, or other reasons:
- Group I — 3,100 UAH;
- Group II — 2,900 UAH;
- Group III — 2,700 UAH.
For combat participants, affected participants of the Revolution of Dignity, and former minor prisoners (who were under 18 years old at the time of imprisonment) of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention, as well as children born in such places of detention of their parents — 1,000 UAH.
For persons with special merits before the Motherland — 3,100 UAH.
For family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine, spouses of deceased persons with war-related disabilities who did not remarry, spouses of deceased combat participants, war participants, and victims of Nazi persecution who during their lifetime were recognized as persons with disabilities due to general illness, workplace injury, or other reasons and did not remarry — 650 UAH.
For war participants and former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention, persons forcibly taken for compulsory labor, and children of partisans, underground fighters, and other participants in the struggle against the National Socialist regime behind enemy lines — 450 UAH.
All payments will be made before August 24, 2026, centrally through the Pension Fund of Ukraine and relevant ministries. Veterans who are currently serving or receiving pensions will receive the funds automatically without the need to submit additional applications.
