The Commissioner for Sanctions gave details about the three missiles that the invaders used against the Kyiv region on May 14.
The Russian Kh-101 cruise missiles that the invaders used to strike the Kyiv region were made recently: this indicates both the use of weapons “from the assembly line,” which can accumulate during a ceasefire, and the subsequent circumvention of sanctions for the manufacture of weapons.
This, commenting on the attack of the invaders, was reported to reporters by the presidential envoy for sanctions policy Vladislav Vlasyuk, later this was confirmed by Zelensky in an evening address on May 14, the PromPolitInform portal informs.
“We find out in detail what kind of weapons – what kind of missiles and drones – the Russians used this time. In Kyiv, the house, according to preliminary data, was hit by a Kh-101 missile.
Production is the second quarter of this year. And this means that Russia is still importing components for the production of missiles, necessary resources and equipment, bypassing global sanctions, this should be the real goal of all our partners – to stop Russian schemes to circumvent sanctions.
We are preparing steps that can intensify our joint opposition – sanctions should be more painful for Russia.”
“Towards the end of the day on May 14, it became clear that all the Kh-101 missiles launched in the Kyiv region that night came from the same batch,” Vlasyuk said, pointing out that one of them hit a residential building on the left bank of the capital, one at a gas station in the area of the Darnitsky car repair plant, and another in the White Church, where “probably there was a miss.”
It is known about 24 dead, among them three children, due to the impact of the invaders on a high-rise building in the Darnitsky district of Kyiv.
