Over 15 million square meters of roads have been repaired in Ukraine: where is the work underway

In Ukraine, since the beginning of the year, over 15.3 million square meters of road surface damage have been repaired on state-owned roads. Work is ongoing on key international, export and logistics routes. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, writes Slovo i Dilo. The PromPolitInform portal informs.

According to Kuleba, among the main areas where a significant amount of work has been completed is the international highway M-07 Kyiv – Kovel – Yagodyn.

“In the Volyn region alone, about 153 thousand square meters have been repaired in less than three months. m of pavement on the route to the largest checkpoint on the border with Poland “Yagodyn – Dorohusk”, – noted Kuleba.

In Cherkasy region, repair of certain sections of the roads M-05 Kyiv – Odesa and M-30 Stryi – Uman – Dnipro – Izvaryne was completed. The total area of ​​​​the restored pavement was 484.1 thousand sq. m.

In Ivano-Frankivsk region, damage was eliminated on the roads H-09 Mukachevo – Lviv and H-10 Stryi – Mamalyga on an area of ​​​​277.5 thousand sq. m.

“These are important routes that provide connections between western regions and international logistics”, – emphasized Kuleba.

In Zhytomyr region, restoration of the pavement on the highway M-06 Kyiv – Chop, one of the main export corridors of Ukraine to the European Union countries with a length of almost 240 km, was completed.

Also, after the repair, full-fledged traffic was opened on the 20-kilometer section of the M-21 road Vystupovychi – Zhytomyr – Mogilev-Podilskyi.

We will remind you that on June 3, the government completed priority repair work on highways of national and international importance. This primarily concerns the elimination of potholes and other deformations that arose after the winter.

On May 1, Ukrainian road workers completed the major repair of 12 international routes, which began in February. The work was completed ahead of schedule.
