Funding was directed from unused expenditures of the National Energy Regulatory Commission for the Control of Energy and Utilities of Ukraine to key defense areas.
The government has additionally allocated UAH 220 million for the needs of the Defense Forces. These are funds that remained unused in the state budget expenditures earmarked for financing the National Energy Regulatory Commission. Funding was directed from unused expenditures of the National Commission for the Regulation of Energy and Utilities of Ukraine on According to the government’s decision, the funds were distributed as follows:
100 million UAH is allocated for training the National Guard;
70 million UAH to the Ministry of Defense for the development, purchase, modernization and repair of weapons;
50 million UAH for the activities of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
The government emphasizes that financing the defense sector remains an absolute priority. In this regard, funds saved under other budget programs are directed in accordance with the established procedure to strengthen the security and defense capabilities of Ukraine.
