Since the launch of the RECOVERY rehabilitation network, specialists have assisted 50,000 Ukrainian military personnel following severe injuries. The project integrates 20 medical centers across various regions of Ukraine and implements a human-centric recovery approach. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine (Світлана Гриценко), the portal PromPolitInform reports.
During its operation, the RECOVERY network has provided assistance to 50,000 Ukrainian military personnel. The full-scale war has posed an unprecedented challenge to the healthcare sector, requiring not only life-saving measures after injuries but also long-term recovery.
The project unites 20 rehabilitation centers across different regions of Ukraine to ensure quality care is accessible closer to patients’ homes. The recovery pathway is formed individually based on each person’s needs, health status, and personal goals.
The modern approach covers daily living skills and psychological support
Teamwork among specialists includes physical and rehabilitation physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists. Centers are equipped with special areas where soldiers practice daily activities such as using ATMs, public transport, or childcare.
Psychological care is fully integrated into the rehabilitation process to address the consequences of combat experience, pain, and anxiety. Beyond infrastructure, the project continuously invests in education and professional development to enhance care quality.
