New Commander of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces Appointed

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Yuriy Pogrybny as the new commander of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces. According to the PromPolitInform portal, the corresponding decree No. 731/2026 was published on the website of the President of Ukraine.

By another decree No. 730/2026, Zelensky dismissed Volodymyr Karpenko from the post of commander of the Logistics Forces.

Yuriy Pogrybny has participated in battles against the Russian occupiers as part of an artillery brigade since 2014, in particular, he liberated Sloviansk, Kramatorsk and Lyman. Later, he held command positions related to armaments and logistics.

In 2024, Pogrybny became the chief of armaments – deputy chief for logistics of the operational command “East”. Later, he headed the logistics of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he introduced the NATO system for the automation of transport TMS.

After the appointment of Mykhailo Drapaty as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Pogrybny temporarily served as the commander of the Logistics Forces.
