Ukrainian supermarket chains updated price tags for basic food products as of August 18, 2026. A slight increase in egg prices was recorded at Auchan, while milk became cheaper in some supermarkets.

Ukrainian supermarket chains updated price tags for basic foodstuffs as of August 18, 2026. The monitoring covers leading retail chains in the country, specifically Silpo, ATB, Novus, and Auchan. Items across major product categories underwent certain adjustments due to promotional offers and changes in suppliers.
Price dynamics for bread and buckwheat
Bread prices in most stores remain stable, yet Auchan introduced a new sliced white bread item priced at 14.50 UAH per 350 g. The cheapest option is offered by Silpo, where a half-loaf of sliced bread can be purchased for 12.99 UAH. In the groats segment, buckwheat maintains previous levels: the promotional price per 1 kg at Silpo is 54.99 UAH, while at ATB a similar product costs 65.90 UAH.
Changes in egg and dairy prices
The egg segment showed minor price fluctuations, with single C1 category eggs at Auchan increasing from 3.00 to 3.10 UAH per piece, totaling 31 UAH per dozen. Meanwhile, Novus introduced C2 category eggs priced at 55.99 UAH per dozen. Regarding dairy products, a 900 g pack of milk at Auchan decreased to 38.90 UAH compared to 39.40 UAH the day before.
Sunflower oil market situation
The sunflower oil market experienced shifts driven by updated promotional campaigns among major retailers. At Silpo, a 13% discount now applies to the Shchedryi Dar brand priced at 55.99 UAH per 500 ml. The lowest price in this category is maintained by Auchan, where private label oil is offered at 49.40 UAH per 0.5 l.
