Main propagandist of “all of Russia” faces dismissal from work

Russian propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov may lose his positions on the Rossiya 1 TV channel and at the Rossiya Segodnya agency. The Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation is preparing personnel changes due to falling audience interest in his programs and the host's conflict-ridden character.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Пилип Бойко) citing the Telegram channel of The Moscow Times, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

In the new television season, Dmitry Kiselyov’s place may be temporarily taken by Yevgeny Popov, with plans to change the program’s format. Kremlin officials expressed dissatisfaction with his unwillingness to listen to the recommendations of the Presidential Administration and his intolerance of other people’s opinions.

Management of media structures may pass to other individuals

In addition to television broadcasting, Dmitry Kiselyov is planned to be dismissed from the post of Director General of the Rossiya Segodnya news agency, which he has held since 2013. He may be offered an “honorary retirement position,” while the agency itself is involved in covert operations of Russian intelligence, according to the US Department of State.

Reaction to the impending decisions in media circles

72-year-old Dmitry Kiselyov himself is already aware of the preparation of such a decision and is reacting to it extremely painfully. “He walks around the ‘pit’ darker than a cloud,” said one of the sources, adding that the host is complaining about intrigues and denunciations.

Strengthening information pressure from the Russian Federation

Meanwhile, the Russian Federation has sharply increased the volume of anti-Ukrainian propaganda abroad, in particular in Poland, where the amount of such content has grown by 250 percent with the help of bots and artificial intelligence. The Kremlin is trying to influence the international perception of the war by using technologies to artificially simulate successes at the front.
