On the night of August 22, Ukraine's air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 191 enemy air targets. Kyiv and Odesa regions became the main targets of the massive attack.
This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian forces used ballistic missiles, aviation weapons, strike drones, and decoy drones for the air strike. Launches were carried out from the territory of Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions, the Black Sea waters, as well as from temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk region and Crimea.
Air defense destroyed the vast majority of weapons across various regions of the state
Anti-aircraft missile units, aviation, electronic warfare systems, and mobile firing groups were involved in repelling the attack. As of morning, the downing or suppression of three aviation missiles, six Banderol munitions, and 182 drones of various types was confirmed.
Impacts were recorded at several dozen locations as a result of the enemy attack
Specialists recorded impacts of attack assets at 41 locations. At another 12 locations, debris from downed air objects fell.
