At major filling station networks, the average price of A-95 gasoline reached 85.28 UAH per liter
As of September 9, 2026, leading Ukrainian filling station networks adjusted fuel prices upward. The average cost of A-95 gasoline reached approximately 85.28 UAH per liter, while diesel fuel hit 96.24 UAH per liter. This was reported by Glavcom citing Der Spiegel, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Over the past day, several companies immediately corrected their pricing at fuel stations. Specifically, UPG, Okko, and KLO networks increased gasoline and diesel prices by 1 UAH per liter, leaving auto gas costs unchanged. At Socar stations, A-95 and A-95+ gasoline along with diesel fuel rose in price by 1 UAH per liter, while the premium diesel category remained at the previous level. Meanwhile, WOG decided to keep its current rates unchanged for drivers.
Most expensive and cheapest fuel station networks
The highest price tags for petroleum products are currently recorded at premium networks such as Okko, WOG, and Socar. Conversely, the most affordable pricing is traditionally offered to consumers at BRSM-Nafta and Ukrnafta stations. Experts explain that the domestic market reacts to European wholesale segment trends with a certain time lag. “Prices rise quickly and soften much slower,” Mykhailo Honchar noted.
Influencing factors and Russian attacks
The formation of final prices at Ukrainian filling stations depends on import supplies, logistics costs, exchange rates, inventory levels, and demand. Additional pressure on pricing is created by hostile strikes on port infrastructure, forcing suppliers to redirect shipments through more expensive overland routes. A separate threat to the industry has become systematic shelling of oil supply facilities. According to Der Spiegel, invaders have damaged over 200 Ukrainian filling stations since April.
Situation regarding potential shortages
Despite regular attacks and destruction, a large-scale nationwide fuel shortage is not currently observed on the market. Major companies are promptly restoring damaged facilities, although temporary supply disruptions may occur in certain frontline areas. “A crisis is when petroleum products are not enough and there is nowhere to get them from. Currently, there are certain supply problems in frontline regions, but these problems can be solved,” Hennadii Ryabtsev pointed out.
