The government has updated the Coordination Headquarters for the implementation of state policy for veterans
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to appoint a special deputy for veteran affairs in every central executive body. The structure of the Coordination Headquarters for veteran policy has also been changed. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Vitalii Kim.
According to the government resolution, ministries and other authorities are required to create a separate position for a deputy head of the agency. This official will bear personal responsibility for implementing the state strategy in veteran affairs within their respective jurisdiction.
Integrating veteran issues into the activities of all state institutions is critical for the effectiveness of state policy. This approach will cover key areas, including education, employment, medical rehabilitation, and social adaptation.
Update of the management structure
Having a designated person in each department will ensure prompt communication and the implementation of joint solutions. This also applies to accessibility issues and cooperation with territorial communities.
The Cabinet of Ministers has also reviewed the composition of the Coordination Headquarters responsible for the implementation of veteran policy. The leadership of coordination between government agencies has been assigned to two co-chairs.
Co-chairs of the Coordination Headquarters
The positions of co-chairs were taken by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine — Minister of Energy of Ukraine and the Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. They will be responsible for synchronizing the work of ministries and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The adjustment of the Headquarters’ composition is aimed at increasing the efficiency of tasks defined by the President and the Prime Minister of Ukraine. The main goal remains to provide tangible results for veterans and their families.
