Permanent unrestricted train operations will start as early as September 10
The Syretsko-Pecherska metro line is operating in a test mode to transport passengers across the Southern Bridge during a yellow threat level. Trains run on their regular route between the right and left banks of the Dnipro River. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from Kyiv City State Administration, based on data from Kyiv Metro.
Security restrictions during alerts
In the event of a red-level air raid alert, train traffic on the surface section will be halted. Passengers will need to exit the trains at underground stations and wait out the danger underground.
During a red threat level, trains will operate only between the Syrets and Vydubychi stations as well as Osokorky and Chervony Khutir. Specialists are finalizing the safety algorithms and coordination between drivers, dispatchers, and station staff.
New operating schedule from September 10
Starting tomorrow, this algorithm will apply on a permanent basis. Traffic on the green line during a yellow threat level will run without any restrictions.
Information on the operational mode is broadcasted inside train carriages and at metro stations. Passengers are urged to closely monitor announcements and follow the instructions of metro staff.
