The Armed Forces of Ukraine spent a year ignoring MESH modem countermeasures and capital EW defense
Throughout the year, no one in the Armed Forces of Ukraine systematically engaged in technologies to counter enemy MESH networks. Due to the lack of proper electronic warfare protection for the capital, the enemy managed to develop this technology. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Serhii Flash.
Over the past year, the issue of combating MESH modems remained neglected within the Ukrainian military. Communication and radio technology specialist Serhii Flash emphasized the lack of systematic solutions in this area.
According to him, responsible officials in the previous leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and specialized electronic warfare units failed to cover the capital with necessary defense means. The situation unfolded without an adequate response to the advancement of enemy technologies.
Strikes by jet-powered drones
The consequence of this inaction has been enemy strikes utilizing jet-powered Shahed drones controlled via MESH networks. Currently, the new electronic warfare team is forced to urgently develop countermeasures.
