The Kremlin claims Europeans invent military threats to conceal their own policy failures
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has once again accused Ukraine of usurping power and stated that Moscow has no aggressive plans regarding the European Union. According to his assertions, European politicians talk about war merely to distract citizens from economic and social mistakes. This was reported by Glavcom, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Vladimir Putin also addressed the expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, accusing European leaders of deliberately escalating tensions. Furthermore, he repeated standard propaganda narratives regarding the cancellation of elections in Ukraine, describing the government as a dictatorship.
Economic and political statements
The head of the Kremlin added that European authorities attempt to justify domestic policy failures through myths about external threats. In his view, Western partners of Ukraine use the population of the country for their own interests.
At the same time, Moscow assured that grounds for a conflict with European nations simply do not exist. According to the Russian leader, prospects for restoring relations remain possible if neighboring states listen to their citizens.
Previous incidents and economic steps
Earlier, the Kremlin warned of a potential response to European naval exercises in the Baltic Sea involving the interception of civilian vessels. The report also recalls a decree transferring assets of Auchan and Nestle to Russian management.
