Pyongyang plans to develop bilateral relations on the basis of alliance
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sent a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the anniversary of the founding of North Korea. In the letter, he promised to deepen bilateral cooperation and expressed confidence in Moscow's victory. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Едуард Ткач) citing Reuters, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The document was sent earlier in the week in response to congratulations from the Russian side on the 78th anniversary of the republic’s formation. The administration in Pyongyang intends to build up interaction in a comprehensive manner based on friendly ties and mutual support.
The head of the North Korean state expressed confidence in the success of the Russian Federation in the confrontation, which he characterized as a struggle for security and international justice. Observers note that this wording refers to hostilities on Ukrainian territory.
The politician reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Russian leadership and citizens. The day before, a similar appeal was handed over to Chinese leader Xi Jinping to strengthen traditional contacts.
Earlier, the Russian leadership stated its coordination of efforts with Pyongyang for the sake of regional security. At the same time, analysts previously pointed to Beijing’s concern over the rapprochement of the two regimes.
