The vehicle built on a Dodge RAM chassis can transport nearly two tonnes of cargo
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has codified and authorised the UAT.GYURZA-01 PICKUP armoured vehicle for military supply. Developed by a domestic defense manufacturer, the vehicle is designed to transport personnel, carry cargo, and complete combat missions. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The development by an army-focused domestic manufacturer was created according to direct requests from soldiers. It aims to supply operational units with versatile, reliable, and easily maintainable transport for combat zone deployments.
Dodge RAM 5500 Platform and Armour Standards
The domestic armoured vehicle is built on the civil Dodge RAM 5500 pickup chassis. Its body shell delivers level 2 bullet and fragment protection under the STANAG 4569 standard, along with levels 3a and 3b mine protection.
Key advantages include a high-durability hull, standard civil driving controls, readily available spare parts, and extended logistical capabilities. These factors simplify field maintenance and routine servicing under combat conditions.
Performance and Terrain Capabilities
Weighing over 8 tonnes, the armoured pickup carries up to 5 fully equipped personnel alongside nearly 2 tonnes of payload. The vehicle reaches maximum speeds exceeding 110 km/h.
Fuel tanks provide an operational range of up to 800 km over dirt roads and up to 1,000 km on paved highways. Structural features enable the pickup to navigate harsh off-road conditions, mud, swamps, and dense brushwood.
Specialised On-Board Systems
The vehicle features external observation systems, tactical TV monitors, electronic warfare suites, engine and cabin fire suppression systems, plus a heavy-duty winch.
Optionally, the UAT.GYURZA-01 PICKUP can be equipped with semi-automatic tire inflation units, anti-fragment deflectors, and air filtration systems.
