Enemy bombardment caused fires and power outages across the city
Russian military forces launched guided aerial bomb strikes on Izyum in the Kharkiv region, injuring at least seven people, including a child. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Iizium City Military Administration, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The attack on the settlement took place in the evening between 21:30 and 21:50. According to preliminary data, the invaders targeted the peaceful city using eight guided aerial bombs.
Consequences of the city impacts
The munitions hit areas near Verkhnie Poselychia and the local IOMZ plant. The air strikes damaged private houses and multi-story residential buildings, sparking fires at the impact sites and cutting off electricity in several neighborhoods.
Condition of the victims following the raid
Medical assistance is being provided to the seven injured residents. Among the victims is an 11-year-old child who suffered an acute stress reaction due to the harrowing experience.
Later, local military administration officials reported a repeated strike on the city. The exact extent of the destruction and overall damage continues to be verified by specialized services.
