Explosions were recorded near the capital's key railway hub
Kyiv Central Railway Station sustained no damage during the latest attack by Russian forces. Reports of strikes near the facility did not result in structural damage to the building. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Валерій Ульяненко) citing Ukrzaliznytsia, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Representatives of the national rail operator denied rumors of potential damage to the key transit hub following reports of nearby explosions. Passengers and capital residents were urged to strictly observe safety protocols and stay in shelters until the air raid warning is lifted.
The railway company called on citizens to stay away from infrastructure facilities during air alarms. Passengers are advised to move to designated safe areas promptly and remain there until the threat passes.
Strikes on Kyiv Fuel Infrastructure
The morning attack on September 23 saw enemy drones hit two gas stations in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts. The roof of one gas station caught fire, resulting in an injury to one person.
An Ukrnafta station was completely destroyed by a direct hit. This marks the sixth recorded attack on the company’s assets in recent weeks, though employees survived as they were inside a shelter at the time of the impact.
Impact of the Attack on the Capital
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, Russian troops launched new strikes on the capital in the morning. The attack resulted in the death of one civilian, with eight other people suffering various injuries.
