The schedule slippage on certain routes has exceeded 15 hours
More than 16 Ukrzaliznytsia passenger trains are currently operating with significant deviations from their scheduled times. The longest delays have reached 15 hours. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Валерія Абабіна) citing Ukrzaliznytsia, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
A significant portion of the routes that have lost their timetable stability depart from train stations in Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. The largest deviations from arrival times have been recorded for services No. 3 Dnipro-Holovnyi – Uzhhorod and No. 32 Zaporizhzhia-1 – Przemysl, with a delay of 15 hours and 3 minutes.
Delays for trains from Dnipro
Significant schedule disruptions also affect routes toward Truskavets and Lviv. For instance, trains No. 41 and No. 285 from Dnipro are running 13 hours and 38 minutes late. Smaller, yet still significant, delays affect trains No. 62 to Ivano-Frankivsk (9 hours and 19 minutes) and No. 261 to Chernivtsi (9 hours and 17 minutes).
Return trips and route adjustments
In the opposite direction, delays exceed 7 hours. Specifically, trains No. 286 from Lviv and No. 42 from Truskavets to Dnipro-Holovnyi are arriving 7 hours and 53 minutes behind schedule. Train No. 43 from Ivano-Frankivsk to Cherkasy is delayed by 7 hours and 6 minutes, while services No. 294 and No. 234 to Kryvyi Rih-Holovnyi are running 7 hours and 2 minutes late.
Situation on other rail routes
Several other trains are operating with delays ranging from 6 to 7 hours. These include services No. 31/32 Przemysl – Zaporizhzhia-1 and No. 4 Uzhhorod – Dnipro-Holovnyi, which are 6 hours and 58 minutes behind schedule. Train No. 18 Kharkiv-Pasazhyrskyi – Uzhhorod is 6 hours and 30 minutes late, while No. 110 Lviv – Mykolaiv-Pasazhyrskyi is delayed by 6 hours and 18 minutes.
As a reminder, rail operations experienced changes on September 17 following infrastructure damage caused by a night-time attack. At that time, some routes were diverted to reserve tracks, increasing travel times by approximately 6 hours.
