The traitor collected coordinates of a drone repair battalion and planned an escape
Military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine has exposed an FSB agent who was gathering intelligence on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. The perpetrator attempted to guide a Russian missile strike on his unit's repair battalion. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Security Service of Ukraine.
The detainee was a mobilised serviceman working as an electrician involved in drone restoration. According to the investigation, Russian special services recruited the man before his mobilisation through a relative residing in the aggressor state.
While in service, the agent passed data on the location of his brigade and adjacent units to his handlers. The suspect prepared coordinates of the repair unit for a missile strike, intending to flee the combat zone afterwards under the pretext of visiting a hospital.
Detention of the traitor
Service operatives detained the suspect in a military vehicle immediately as he attempted to leave the military base. During subsequent searches, officers seized five mobile phones used for encrypted communication with FSB representatives.
The suspect has been notified of suspicion of high treason committed under martial law. The court ordered him to be held in custody without the possibility of bail, carrying a potential penalty of life imprisonment with asset confiscation.
