The talks took place at the American leader’s residence in Washington. The head of Beijing emphasized that the world’s two leading economies are obligated to find an effective path for peaceful coexistence on the planet.
We do not need to avoid mentioning competition, but our competition must be healthy and restrained, said Xi.
It should be a race where some catch up with others, rather than a confrontation where one loses and the other wins, added the Chinese politician.
Educational exchanges for the youth
The official focused on the importance of interpersonal ties and the role of younger generations in shaping bilateral relations. To improve the understanding of his country among American citizens, Beijing is implementing a large-scale educational initiative.
