Yuriy Konyushenko has headed the State Tax Service on an interim basis
The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Yuriy Konyushenko as the First Deputy Head of the State Tax Service. At the same time, the government has temporarily entrusted him with the duties of the agency head. This was reported by Міністерство фінансів України, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The government decision on personnel changes in the tax sector was made at one of the recent meetings of the executive authority. Yuriy Konyushenko has become the new First Deputy Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
Simultaneously, the government instructed him to temporarily perform the duties of the Head of the State Tax Service. The relevant resolutions have already entered into force in the established manner.
Personnel decisions in the tax service
The appointment took place against the background of ongoing reorganization and adjustment of the work of central executive authorities in the fiscal sector. The changes are designed to ensure the uninterrupted administration of taxes and duties to the state budget.
The newly appointed head faces tasks to improve the work of tax authorities and fulfill targeted revenue collection indicators. The scope of responsibility of the service covers control over compliance with tax legislation.
Further steps of the agency
The State Tax Service continues to perform its functions in normal mode under the leadership of the acting head. It is expected that a detailed program of priority actions at the head of the agency will be presented in the near future.
Government officials hope to increase the efficiency of interaction with taxpayers and the transparency of administration processes. All departments of the agency continue to work in accordance with approved activity plans.
