Social media ads intimidate Crimea residents with forced mobilization
Russian occupation authorities in Crimea have significantly increased military contract recruitment advertising following the State Duma elections. New billboards have appeared in streets alongside an influx of digital ads. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Crimean Wind.
Social media advertisements posted by the occupation authorities directly intimidate local residents. Crimea inhabitants are offered money to sign a contract, with warnings that mandatory mobilization without pay will follow shortly otherwise.
Fearing forced conscription, numerous residents are currently fleeing the occupied peninsula to areas outside Russian control.
Indefinite Russian Mobilization
Former Ukrainian MP Oleg Tsaryov, residing in Yalta, reminded that the Russian mobilization decree signed on 21 September remains active. He noted that 300,000 men drafted during the initial wave remain deployed without scheduled rotation.
Tsaryov emphasized that mobilized personnel serve continuously as no legal timeframe for their discharge has been established.
