The Cabinet of Ministers fixed gas tariffs for the heating season
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has maintained current preferential prices for natural gas supplying households and heat producers. Reduced gas rates will remain effective until 31 March. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Serhii Koretskyi.
The decision ensures stable gas tariffs through the end of the current heating season. The government resolution complies with legislation imposing a moratorium on utility rate hikes during martial law.
Consumer Protection and International Commitments
In maintaining current gas prices, the Cabinet of Ministers considered the country’s socio-economic conditions. The key objective remains preventing additional financial strain on citizens and heating providers.
Simultaneously, Ukrainian officials and relevant state authorities continue working to reform the tariff policy framework. This initiative aligns with Ukraine’s commitments to international partners.
The upcoming model aims to introduce transparent pricing mechanisms. It will be accompanied by an expanded targeted subsidy program supporting vulnerable population groups.
