As reported by Rubryka, the Ukrainian government has decided on spending priorities amidst a challenging funding situation, particularly due to delays in receiving some international financial aid. Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi stated that a portion of international funding had not been received because Ukraine failed to meet certain obligations to international partners; the PromPolitInform portal reported this information.
Consequently, priority funding will be allocated to:
defense needs,
pensions,
social payments,
wages for teachers, doctors, and other public sector employees.
It was noted that expenditures for new construction, reconstruction, major repairs, and public realm improvements—such as parks, public squares, fountains, and the relaying of paving stones—will be postponed. The Prime Minister called on local self-government bodies to prioritize their budgets and limit non-essential spending.
“It is time to finally stop spending money on non-priority items,” Serhiy Koretskyi emphasized. It is reported that the Government is actively working with Parliament to fulfill the obligations required to secure international funding. Serhiy Koretskyi emphasized the importance of responsible action by MPs across all factions and groups, noting that this would help improve the country’s financial situation.
“Under these conditions, we continue to implement tough anti-crisis measures to ensure what matters most: meeting the needs of our defense and our people,” said Serhiy Koretskyi.

To support the state’s defense capabilities, the government is simultaneously implementing a strict austerity regime that includes cutting spending in other areas.
