The enemy launches up to 300 attacks daily using guided aerial bombs and drones
Russian occupation forces have increased the number of daily shellings of border territories in the north and east of Ukraine. Currently, between 180 and 300 attacks using various types of weapons are recorded every day. This was reported by Glavcom citing the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko confirmed the trend of increasing fire impact on border districts of Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Statistics show that the intensity of enemy attacks on these sections of the state border fluctuates between 180 and 300 incidents daily.
Weaponry of the Russian occupiers
To carry out their missions, Russian units utilize a wide arsenal of destruction tools. The list of weaponry constantly applied against Ukrainian defenders and civilian objects includes artillery systems, mortars and aircraft, in particular guided aerial bombs.
Unmanned aerial vehicles account for a significant share of the attack structure. According to Andriy Demchenko, among the entire spectrum of enemy assets, drones prevail, with FPV devices and fibre-optic connected vehicles demonstrating particular activity.
Objective of enemy attacks
Russian invaders target both the positions of the Defence Forces and civilian infrastructure. The enemy’s military goals include the destruction of logistics routes and complicating the supply of units in the border area.
“The enemy continues to terrorize Ukrainian settlements located close to the border. Such actions lead to deaths and injuries, as well as the destruction of local infrastructure,” said Andriy Demchenko. Persistent shelling causes significant damage to utility and residential facilities in the border zones.
