The seizure of four tons of food provisions delivered by drones has been reported in the occupied community
Russian occupation forces are confiscating food supplies dropped by Ukrainian military drones for civilians in temporarily occupied Oleshky. The presence of non-Russian food items serves as a pretext for interrogations and accusations of collaborating with the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was reported by Ukrinform citing UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Tetiana Hasanenko, head of the Oleshky City Military Administration, stated that the recent delivery of four tons of food was the largest scale operation of its kind. While some residents managed to receive packages, others were left with nothing due to the actions of the occupation forces.
Persecution Over Ukrainian Food
According to the military administration head, invaders immediately question locals who possess non-Russian products. The presence of such items is treated as evidence of collaboration with the Ukrainian army. Meanwhile, the occupation authorities simultaneously view local residents as Russian citizens allegedly violating Russian legislation.
Abductions of Local Residents
Alongside food confiscations, arbitrary detentions and disappearances of civilians continue within the community. The administration head confirmed that entire families have vanished without a trace after being taken to basements by the occupiers, leaving their fate unknown.
Humanitarian Crisis in the Town
Previously, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine reported that no food supplies had reached the occupied town of Oleshky from late May until late June. Furthermore, the occupying administration has failed to organize any evacuation efforts, forcing local residents to flee on their own and risk their lives.
