Military units purchased equipment and gear worth almost UAH 320 million in 5 months
The Defence Procurement Agency DOT of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has added new product categories to the Prozorro Market catalogue. Defence forces units can now order sights, radar systems, and batteries for drones. Over nearly five months of using the digital catalogue, military personnel have purchased goods worth almost UAH 320 million. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is expanding the product list in the Prozorro Market electronic catalogue to rapidly meet specific needs of military units. Purchases through the marketplace use funds from decentralized budgets, allowing units to save their own resources.
Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Mstyslav Banik stated that using Prozorro Market cuts bureaucracy and significantly speeds up the acquisition of required supplies. The online platform enables units to quickly address urgent operational needs on the ground.
New defence items added to the catalogue
The updated list includes night vision sights, drone batteries, as well as electro-optical and radar systems for surveillance and UAV countermeasures. According to the ministry, quad bikes, pickups, and drone batteries are currently in the highest demand among buyers.
The catalogue is managed by the Defence Procurement Agency DOT, which plans to further expand the assortment based on frontline requirements. The current selection covers vehicles, drone components, camouflage suits, body armour, footwear, and other tactical gear.
Reducing risks in procurement procedures
Orders on the marketplace can be placed by all units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine and state buyers managing decentralized financial resources. The administrator handles the entire preparation stage of the process.
The Defence Procurement Agency centrally sets technical specifications for goods and pre-qualifies suppliers. This eliminates the need for military units to go through lengthy tender procedures and reduces procurement risks.
Additionally, the Agency contracted 99.5% of the confirmed needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service for winter clothing and equipment for the 2026–2027 season.
