Ukraine Installs 170 km of Anti-Drone Road Protection in September

Over 1,560 km of protective line built along front-line supply routes since early 2026

Nearly 170 km of anti-drone protection was installed along critical supply routes in front-line regions during September. Concurrently, workers repaired over 106 km of logistics roads. Since the beginning of the year, the total length of protected road sections has exceeded 1,560 km. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, based on data from the State Special Transport Service.

Specialised military units completed engineering works to protect transport routes against enemy drones across 50 individual road sections. Construction and installation operations remain underway at eight additional sites in front-line areas.

Road infrastructure repair and maintenance operations have been ongoing since April. Over this period, engineering teams carried out routine repairs and operational maintenance on more than 660 km of highways vital for military logistics.

Protective Infrastructure Scale

Erecting engineering structures along key transport arteries aims to reduce risks for military equipment and personnel during movement. These comprehensive measures help safeguard material resources and maintain unit operational capabilities.

Looking at the broader timeframe since April of last year, a total of over 2,000 km of anti-drone protection systems have been deployed across front-line roadways.
