An enemy UAV strike was recorded targeting a municipal transport structure in the capital
A Russian drone attacked Pivnichnyi Bridge in Kyiv on October 3, 2026, with emergency services heading to the scene. This was reported by Glavcom citing the Telegram channel of Vitali Klitschko, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Eyewitnesses shared a video of the attack moment on social media, capturing the unmanned aerial vehicle approaching the bridge structure and striking one of the supports, followed by a flash. At present, municipal authorities have not provided official information regarding the extent of potential damage or any casualties resulting from the latest strike.
A series of strikes on Dnipro crossings
The current attack on Pivnichnyi Bridge follows a series of strikes targeting Pivdennyi Bridge in Kyiv. During the first days of October, Russian forces twice hit areas near its support structures, restricting traffic for subway and ground public transport.
The same evening brought another recorded impact on the roadway of Pivdennyi Bridge, damaging the bridge support, guardrail, road surface, and concrete subway protection barriers. On October 2, Russian troops attacked Pivdennyi Bridge again, keeping the structure closed to vehicular traffic and metro trains.
Emergency response and traffic restrictions
Emergency services are currently heading to Pivnichnyi Bridge to assess the consequences of the new impact. Following previous attacks on Pivdennyi Bridge, traffic rules across the Dnipro River in Kyiv underwent significant changes regarding air raid safety restrictions.
