Kharkiv Woman Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Spying on Military Disguised as Cleaner

A Russian military intelligence agent gathered command post coordinates under the guise of cleaning

A Kharkiv resident was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for high treason. The woman gathered intelligence on the positions of the Defense Forces in the frontline city. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from Security Service of Ukraine.

The convicted woman adjusted missile and bomb strikes by Russian forces against backup command posts and combat positions of Ukrainian defenders. To accomplish this task, she offered servicemen household assistance for a symbolic fee.

Espionage Activities in Defenders’ Residences

The perpetrator arranged to clean apartments temporarily occupied by troops, attempting to gain the defenders’ trust. During confidential conversations, she extracted necessary information before conducting on-site reconnaissance to verify the data.

Detention and Exposure of Ties with Enemy Intelligence

Security Service of Ukraine officers detained the suspect red-handed near a Defense Forces facility during reconnaissance. The local unemployed woman came to the attention of the Russian special service while searching for quick earnings on specialized channels.

Evidence Base and Court Verdict

During searches, law enforcement seized the detainee’s smartphone containing hidden Google Maps screenshots marked with Ukrainian facilities. The court found her guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
