Ukrainian military have adopted foreign instructor training experience and combat assault tactics
The training process for the Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine actively utilizes practices borrowed from partner countries. This includes both specific tactical maneuvers and a system for transferring knowledge from instructors to trainees. This was reported by Ukrinform, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Colonel Oleksandr Kupinskyi, head of the 199th Training Center of the DSHV of the ZSU, reported on the implementation of foreign combat training standards. The primary focus is on the successful scaling of experience in conducting military operations under challenging conditions, specifically in urban and forested areas.
Partners’ experience in training
According to the training center head, the borrowed infrastructure and training methodologies allow for the effective preparation of paratroopers for modern combat challenges. Partner countries already possess ready-made solutions for training in built-up areas, which the ZSU adapted to their own needs at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Training of military instructors
A separate area of cooperation involves training methodologies for teaching staff. As Oleksandr Kupinskyi noted, the ability of an experienced soldier to effectively convey skills to others is a key task, which is successfully taught in foreign centers. Ukrainian instructors who undergo such training subsequently scale the acquired knowledge within their own training units.
Bilateral exchange of experience
Interaction between the defense forces of Ukraine and partners has now become a bilateral process. Foreign military specialists closely study the experience gained by DSHV units directly on the battlefield and integrate it into their own training programs.
Training missions in Europe
The training of Ukrainian service members continues on the territory of other nations, particularly at the firing ranges of the American military garrison in Bavaria. Coordination of these drills is carried out by representatives of the US Army Europe and Africa command along with the 7th Army Training Command.
